1. Open the bag completely and flatten the bottom. 

2. Turn down the top of the bag 1 to 1.5 inches and crease the edge.

3. Fold down the top again 1 to 1.5 inches, and crease the edge a second time. (Folding down the top of the bags keeps them stable and eliminates flapping.)

4. Put 1 cup of sand or birdseed in the bottom of each bag to weigh it down and support the candle.  Make sure to fill your bag to at least 1 1/2 inches or it may tip over.  

5. Insert your candle 1/2 inch into the sand or birdseed.

6. Place your bags on the curb in front of your house, 6 feet apart.
